One week to get to Australia ! ! !

I have had some missed conections and so one before when i have been traveling but never had anything like this trip.
We left sweden on the 6th of jan And arrived to Australia Perth on the 13th. Well the story you can read all about it here.
So first off from Sweden. And everything looks good. The train is on time
and there is no problem in the traffic there. Sometimes there are delays with
the trains as well. So finally in Copenhagen’s airport Kastrup. And its not so
crowded when we arrive that is always nice and we finally come to the check in
for the first flight from Cph to London. And all the flights with British
Airways from Cph have been canceled. But we get a new ticket with Sas but not
at the same time a bit later and it’s not good for the connection we have in London
because when i booked I didn’t book the ticket all the way to Perth. So I had
one separate ticket just to London and then from London we had the rest to
Perth. That means if we miss our connection in London we are screwed. But there
was still 3h until our next flight even if we got a later flight. So I wasn’t
worried at the time. But after we where suppose to board our plane and there were
no gate set out it didn’t look to good anymore. But we still had some time even
if the plane will be one hour late. But this dam plane was late 4hours. And obviously
we missed the connection in London. Also before going on the plane to London we
were thinking of just skip this &%¤T and go back home. But we still wanted
to try and see if we were lucky and somehow out plane from London were late.
But so was not the case and we ended up coming there at 23:00 and nothing was
open to talk to anyone basically. And to check in to the hotel to then after
4-5h go back to the airport was no idea. So me and Frida we slept on the
airport. We actually got some blankets to sleep with and some soft things for
the floor.
So after a sweet nice night on the airport floor we went to the check in
counter for our missed flight and there was no one. And our flight out from London
was with air Mauritius. And there were no flights at all this day so there will
not be anyone today. Perfect and we asked Sas if they could help and they said
sure no problem. But when they checked our tickets and saw that they were not connected
from Cph all the way to Perth they said sorry can’t help you. I asked them if
anyone could and the only answer I got was nopp sorry. The only thing we could
do was to buy new tickets and also ask air Mauritius. But wasn’t so easy to ask
sins no one was there. So I got a number to Air Mau, and I tried to call a few
time and it didn’t work no answer.
Also now we had no idea if we would make it so we were getting desperate to
get hold of air Mau, so i started to call my friend at home and also my sister
to try to find a number. But they didn’t answer straight away so we had no
choice but to check in to a hotel. And try to find a number that actually
worked to air Mau. Finally after a few hours i get some help from my friend
with some numbers. And after half the day i got hold of someone from the Air
Mau. And they said we had to go back to the airport in the morning to see if there
where any free spots on the plane going out. So it seemed like we had a small chance
now but we didn’t expect anything at all.
I forgot to tell you before also that why the plane was late to London was because
they had a so called snow storm in London. And I said to Sas that it is third fault
we missed our flight and they said yes but a huge BUT we did get you to your
destination. And that you came late to it we are sorry for,, They were sorry!!!
haha they can go and (&&%¤ them self’s! How can they say ye out fault
and then say something ells well make sure you check everything before your
flight and never book separate tickets if there are big snow storms in London
:) It was snowing 4-6 cm of snow !!! Amazing !Kaoz
And the let me tell you walking around in London with only a hoddie in snow
weather was not very warm! And the dam atm machines would not take Master
cards! I could not believe it :D So me and Frida was walking around
just to try to find a place that would take the dam card to get something to
eat. And finally we found something after like 40 min in the cold MacDonald’s
wow. At least they could handle the MasterCard! I think some restaurants and
shops need some upgrades on their atms!
So next morning we are back at the airport. Standing first in line, to talk
to the represenitives form air Mau. And after 2h we finally got to talk to
someone and he said ahh you need to speak to my manager about it. hmm ok he
said wait 5 min and he will be here. So after another hour of waiting he
arrived and helped us. He didn’t ask for any connection tickets and just asked
if we missed the plane because of the bad weather of course we missed it because
of the bad weather! And he told us sorry today the plane is full. But he could
put us on standby if someone didn’t show up we could go on. So we just had to wait
for another 2h to see if someone didn’t show up.
And back after 2h, he said there are a plane that is going to miss this connection.
So there where room on the plane. But e still had to wait until the check in
closed. And we finally got our sets to Mauritius. And then we where suppose to
get the tickets from there to Perth. But somehow in the mess we didn’t get any
tickets to Perth only to Mauritius. Well anyways now we thought now we are on
the way at least and they cant say no when we arrive there we have our tickets connected
now.
So after the plane in Mauritius we didn’t make it through the immigration because
we didn’t have an address. So we had to go to a transit desk and see if he
could fix the ticket. The dude left without passports and tickets from London.
He came back and said ok you can go out now and go to the office and pay the
fee for missing the original flight. It wasn’t to bad but it was still
expensive. But we had no choice. So we go some help form a local girl with the addresses
and the immigration let us out. And at the office they checked for other possibilities’
to fly to Perth but it ended up there are no flights until 4 days from now. So
we had 4 nice days in Mauritius. Not complaining about that but still was not
even enough to unpack anything really.
So finally after the 4 days we where off to Perth. And finally there after
a week we were so relieved that we arrived.
And so starts the next mission! Where are we going to stay and we need to buy
a car.
